With the advent of the internet, more and more owners are selling their vessels themselves without use of a broker saving on hefty commission fees. With your digital camera and computer you can list your boat for sale on many sites. Having a starting point and knowing what price to ask could be just what you need!

Sound Marine Survey can provide an inspection for owners with these questions. A thorough inspection will be performed, wherein the overall condition of your boat will be carefully evaluated. You will receive a list of recommendations as to what should be done in order to maximize your boat's marketability. Also included, the value of your vessel before and after these items are corrected.

United States Coast Guard (USCG), National Fire Protection Agency 302 (NFPA 302), American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) and your state’s guidelines will be used during the inspection.

This is by no means a complete survey for pre-purchase, insurance, finance or a guarantee that you will receive your selling price. It is designed to give you a “ballpark” idea of what to expect when surveyed and the values published by BUC Research at the time of the inspection.
